I’m thinking of getting a scooter for myself as a Christmas present. Now, the question is whether I get a regular scooter or an electric scooter.

Have any of you tried both and if so, what is your preference? Has it made any difference to you personally? I’m interested to know how those of you who have experienced both kinds feel.

I’m sure you know that an electric scooter is environmentally friendly. For those of us who care about stuff like this, it is nice to know that we are playing our part to help the environment.

Well, those of us who ride a regular scooter might care about the environment too!

Sorry! I didn’t mean to imply anything or offend anyone with my statement. It’s just that being eco-friendly is one of the main selling points for an electric scooter.

It is nice to know, for me personally anyway, that I can reduce my carbon footprint as it cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions. A lot of these emissions from gas vehicles play a part in global warming and harming the environment. By riding an electric scooter, many people can try to negate that.

One benefit is that I don’t have to worry about paying for petrol anymore. This saves me a lot of money.

Amen to that. You know how sometimes people moan about gas prices? I was guilty of that once, but not anymore. Once you’re part of the scooter world, there’s no need to rush to go and top up my tank before any price hike. In the long run, you save a fair amount. Riding an electric scooter is actually quite affordable.

I find electric scooters to be a smoother ride. I suppose that has got to do with the fact that it is quiet. I don’t know if you have ridden an electric scooter yet, but I’m sure you have seen people whizzing by and it’s still pretty quiet. It cuts down on noise, which is something I like.

Unfortunately, it can be a little TOO quiet, so it can be risky if you aren’t careful around people or traffic. It is important to be a responsible and alert driver, or you can get somebody seriously hurt.

This is just my experience, but I have seen people riding scooters the wrong way. As a pedestrian also, I was given quite the shock while I was walking and there suddenly appears a scooter, like a great white shark about to attack that missed me by inches!

Electric scooters can creep up behind you and scare you. Scary!

It’s funny you said that! Just a couple of days ago, something similar happened to me. I just yelled at the guy and he showed me a finger and whizzed off, haha!

These scooters are pretty cool and fashionable, especially the selection available at Scooteretti. They have so many beautiful e-bikes and scooters to choose from. I got mine there and they were super helpful!
