I’ve been debating whether or not I should get myself a self storage unit. I’m trying to figure the pros and cons. Can I manage without one? Perhaps I should get one just to be on the safe side?

I can go either way on this. I do have quite a number of items that I want to put away. I’m married and my wife also has her belongings that are cluttering the house. We recently moved to a new place and just put stuff away in a spare room. At some point, we have to sort it out. I’m leaning towards getting one, but my wife thinks it’s too expensive.

    What do you think?

I use a self storage unit and I’m glad I do. I have put stuff in there that I just can’t bring myself to throw out. You know, sometimes you just get attached to stuff and you can’t bring yourself to chuck it out.

My vote is to use the storage unit. You’ll keep your belongings out of the house, but it’s not out of your life. If you need it, it’s there for you.

You mentioned your wife having stuff as well. Since there’s two of you, it might be a good idea.

I use a place called Storage City and I’ve never had a problem. I was actually at odds with my wife over some of the stuff I have. A friend suggested using this storage place and I’m glad he did. Everyone’s happy now!

If you’re moving into a new home, this is the perfect opportunity for you to get rid of stuff so that it does not clutter up your new home.

You can take all the stuff you don’t really need that often and put it away in a storage unit. At least it’s out of the way. Then, you can take your time and decide what to do with it. There’s no rush. You can keep it, or, you could go by and perhaps get rid of some of them.

I actually think I’m going to go for it. I’ll speak to my wife. Luckily, she is quite open-minded and she can be convinced to change her stance.

Don’t forget, you can also store stuff that is seasonal. For example, you could put away your summer stuff as winter approaches. Then, you could do the reverse when summer approaches.

There are things like snow blowers, mowers and other equipment that can be easily stored with the right self storage unit. Any other machinery or bulky sports equipment can also be put away into storage too.
